Witness appeal renewed after 14th road fatality
Police have renewed their appeal for more information on Bermuda’s fourteenth road traffic fatality of 2026.
Antonieta Pascua, 57, a pedestrian, succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment after a collision with a car near the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Angle Street.
The devoted nanny and mother of three moved to Bermuda in 2010 as a guest worker.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “The BPS are renewing their appeal for members of the public with information on the road traffic collision which resulted in the death of Antonieta Pascua.
“Ms Pascua, a 57-year-old guest worker from the Philippines, was struck by a motor car near the junction of Cedar Avenue and Angle Street, City of Hamilton, around 7pm on October 4.
“She was pronounced dead on October 8 after she succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.”
A family liaison officer has been appointed to assist Ms Pascua’s relatives and loved ones, while the force thanked those who have already been in contact to provide information.
The spokesman added: “However, we believe there are still members of the public who can further assist with our investigation and we urge you to please get in touch with Sergeant Dominique Simons by calling 717-2469 or via e-mail — dominique.simons@bps.bm.”
A man has appeared in court in connection with the incident.
