Two men are in police custody after being arrested in connection with a shooting at a home in Hamilton Parish last Sunday that left another male with a serious head wound.

A spokesman said those detained are both 25 years old, while the victim, aged 22, has since been discharged from hospital.

Police were sent to the scene at about 1.35am.

Upon arrival, they were informed that unknown people shot into a window at the residence, injuring one person.

Investigations into the incident continue, while police had earlier issued a call to speak to residents of Lynwood Drive, Midland Heights, Radnor Drive and surrounding areas who may have noticed suspicious activity at the time.
