Temporary roadworks starting today will affect traffic and parking at LF Wade International Airport for a week.

Skyport said passenger pickups and drop-offs will take place in a designated area in the short-term parking lot.

Motorists have been advised to follow the on-site signage and not to wait in the pick-up and drop-off area. This will help to maintain a smooth flow of traffic, the airport operator said.

Skyport added that the bus route will run through the short-term parking lot, where a temporary bus stop will be located.

It said parking availability will be reduced while roadworks are under way and motorists were urged to limit their use of the short-term parking lot to 15 minutes and use the long-term parking lot for longer stays.

Residents were urged to reduce speed when approaching the airport, exercise caution in the affected area, and follow all posted signage and on-site instructions.
