Somerset to host Twenty20 finals

Saturday’s two Twenty20 League finals will be played at Somerset Cricket Club.

The First Division final between Somerset and St George’s is due to start at 11am, with the Premier Division final between Bailey’s Bay and Southampton Rangers scheduled to start at 3pm.

St George’s and Somerset both eased into their final with comfortable wins over PHC and Flatts at Somerset on Sunday.

Bailey’s Bay and Rangers also had relatively simple trips to the final, with Rangers, the defending champions, beating St David’s and Bay proving too strong for Cleveland.

Meanwhile, St George’s and North Village have entered teams in the Evening Cricket League.

The two sides will compete this season, which starts this week, in the Second Division.

They will be joined by new team The Legends, an offshoot of The Associates who play in the Premier Division.

Meanwhile, two junior teams, formerly the Bermuda under-15s and the under-18s, have merged into one BCB Academy team.

Belmont are the defending Premier Division champions, having completed the league and cup double in both of the past two seasons.
