In junior golf on Saturday, Hywel Brown fired the low round at St. George's of 70 to defeat John Barritt by four shots in Group IV.
Chris Smith, playing Group III, almost matched Brown's score, as he returned an impressive 71 to edge B.J.Payne by one shot. Chris Tully took third on 74.
In Group II, Aaron James led the way with an 11-hole score of 39, four better than Lindsey Sims with Aaron Burrows and Rajesh Pachai a further two shots back.
In Group I, just seven shots separated ten players, Ravai Pachai leading the pack with 48 followed by Ryan Marshall (49) and Davin Smith (50).
Mike Smith and Andrew Boyce led the novices at Ocean View with nine-hole scores of 53, two better than Daniel Dickinson.
SOCCER SOC West Ham soccer coach Frank Lampard is due to arrive on the Island tomorrow evening (Thursday) and will begin a week-long coaching clinic, organised by BAA, on Saturday.
The clinic, which runs until June 17, is open to youngsters between the ages of 10 and 16.
