Lightbourne identified after Warwick death

School teacher and musician: Ron Lightbourne

Ronald Lightbourne, a local teacher, author and musician, was named yesterday as the 71-year-old man found dead on Tuesday in Warwick.

A proficient jazz musician, Mr Lightbourne was also an author who reviewed shows for The Royal Gazette.

Police said there were no suspicions over his death. Inquiries were conducted and an autopsy is expected.

Mr Lightbourne was found in an unresponsive state in the swimming pool of a Forest Hill Drive home by his caregiver at about 11am.

He had been awarded the Lance Hayward Award of Excellence by the Chewstick Foundation this May.
