The Continental Society of Bermuda has donated laptops and gift certificates for school clothing to families in need.

Gift certificates of $100 and $150 from Sidekicks, Gibbons Company and English Sports Shop were given to about 12 families, while two students from the Berkeley Institute were given laptops.

Denise Simons, president of the Continental Society of Bermuda, stated: “These items can be extremely expensive for some parents and we wanted to relieve that financial burden for them.

“Every child deserves to go back to school looking pristine in their new school uniform and shoes, which builds pride and confidence. In everything we do we remember that these are our children, our commitment, our concern.”
