Mario Valcourt limited Sousa's to six scattered hits in pitching Snowballs to a 16-2 triumph in Commercial Softball League action on Monday night.

Valcourt continued to sparkle on the mound, and once again got plenty of assistance from Snowballs' batting behemoths.

Bruno Richard drove in three runs with a home run and double in leading the offence. Braxton Stowe contributed with a pair of hits, both doubles, and Carol Mitchell had three hits in three trips to the plate, driving in one run.

A shellshocked Alan DeSilva was tagged with the loss for Sousa's.

Surface Trends won a wild one over Wildcats in a 39-run slugfest.

Trends defeated Wildcats 20-19 with Randy Kowch and Al Busby driving in three runs each. Kowch outlasted Al McKinnon to record the victory.

McKinnon, meantime, tried in vain to push Wildcats over the top with five runs batted in on three hits. He also smashed a home run, proving he may be more valuable as a hitter than pitcher.

Barry Mah was Wildcats' other hitting star, getting two hits and driving in two runs.

Paul Thorne tossed another pitching gem when he led ACT to a 19-4 triumph over Team Xerox.

David Sousa socked three doubles in ACT's offensive flurry, while Anthony Christopher (three RBI) and Dawnette Daniels (two hits) also helped to slam the door on losing hurler Ron Skaggs.

Drew Douglas, with a pair of doubles, and Earlene Wilkinson, with two hits, were the only bright spots for Xerox.

BOWLING BOW Stevedoring Services sapped the spirit out of Team Spirit with a 26-4 victory during recent action in the Miller High Life league.

A consistent team effort, led by Miles Smith and Troy Darrell, propelled Services. Darrell posted top score for the winners.

Marlboro experienced some difficulty despite a 24-6 triumph over Franklin Travel. Mike McCallum's third high series of 610 led Marlboro while Colbert Pearman was high man for Franklin.

Tools & Equipment drilled home a 20-10 victory over Thompsons as Dean Lightbourn sizzled with his second high game of 247 and best individual series of 661. T&E posted the top team game (1,016) and series (2,939).

Vernon Daniels' top individual game of 263 and Norris Caines' 606 led the way for Thompsons. Thompsons also recorded the second high series of 2,780.

New Mix Ups grabbed a 19-11 victory over Spoilers in a low scoring, but highly competitive match.

Dr. Pepper surprised Lite Ice with an easy 24-6 triumph in the final match of the night. Hilton Hayward was the lone bright spot for Ice, who were clearly caught off guard.

David Abraham, with second high series of 623, sparked Dr. Pepper with David Pitt helping with a third high game of 233.

Dr. Pepper posted the second high team game of 964 and third high series of 2,757.
