Butterfield Bank shares gained 2 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.The bank advanced 50 cents on the trading of 500 shares to close on $25.Butterfield’s US-listed shares moved in the opposite direction, slipping 17 cents, or 0.7 per cent, to close on $24.20 on the New York Stock Exchange, as 209,104 shares changed hands.Butterfield was the only issue to trade on the BSX. The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 22.49 points, or 1.23 per cent, to close on 1,857.28.The BSX Insurance Index added 22.59 points, or 1.61 per cent, to close on 1,421.56.
