A 21-year-old appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday, accused of seriously assaulting a man at Woody’s Bar and Restaurant.Khyri Williams-Smith was said to have assaulted Nathaniel Ingham with intent to do grievous bodily harm at the Sandys property on December 6.The victim sustained severe head injuries during the alleged assault and was airlifted to a US hospital where he remains in critical condition.Mr Williams-Smith, of Sandys, was not required to enter a plea as the charge is indictable and must be heard before Supreme Court.He was unrepresented in court yesterday, but indicated that he intends to retain lawyer Marc Daniels.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded him in custody and set a mention date of December 24.
