Bermuda stumble to fourth straight defeat

Bermuda stumbled to their fourth straight defeat at ICC World Twenty20 2012 qualifiers in Dubai earlier today.

The Island's national cricket team lost by 72 runs against Americas rivals Canada in a lopsided affair at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Led by a blistering knock of 83 from Ruvindu Gunasekara, Canada posted a formidable 175 for six in their allotted overs after being sent in to bat.

Spinners Rodney Trott (2-14) and Dion Stovell (2-15) were the pick of Bermuda's bowling.

In reply, Bermuda was dismissed for 103 in 19.2 overs with medium pacer Rizwan Cheema claiming 3-14 to lead Canada's bowling attack.

Lionel Cann was Bermuda's top bat with 33 from 21 deliveries in a knock that contained six boundaries.

Skipper David Hemp added 17, Terryn Fray 16 and Justin Pitcher 12 lower down the order.
