Bermuda lose by 34 runs to USA

Bermuda lost to the USA by 34 runs in a 11th place play-off at World Twenty20 qualifiers in Dubai today.

USA piled up 193 for 5 after electing to bat and then restricted Bermuda to 159 for 8.

Sammy Robinson (2 for 41) was the pick of Bermuda's bowling while top order bat Lionel Cann led the Island's run chase with a dashing 73 from 47 deliveries.

Cann thumped three sixes and four boundaries during his stay at the crease.

Skipper David Hemp chipped in with 27 while opening bat Fiqre Crockwell added 23.

Off spinner Muhammad Ghous (2 for 20) led USA's bowling attack while Sushilkumar Nadkarni (48) topped his team's batting.
