Bermuda second in CEA Regional Challenge
Bermuda lost the team championship after a four-year reign when Barbados captured the team victory in the recent CEA Regional Jumping Challenge with a very impressive total score of 157.67.
The Bermuda team of MacKenzie James, riding Up Up & Away, Tyler James on Happy Feet and Lily Butler riding Storm Watch, had to settle for second place with a score of 179.40, with Trinidad & Tobago close behind in third place with a score of 179.88.
In addition to the team ranking, the challenge includes an overall individual regional placing, with Mackenzie James placing third in the one-metre category.
Tyler James, riding Happy Feet, secured first place in the Overall Individual .85m Division while Isabelle Pelletier, riding Helsinki, claimed the second overall.
In the Overall 0.70-metres category, Lily Butler, riding Storm Watch, placed third.
The CEA Regional Jumping Challenge provides an opportunity for competitors of all ages to measure their skills against riders within the Caribbean region. Riders competed in their own countries over two rounds of a predetermined jumping course.
