Outerbridge celebrated for work bringing job fair to life
Alneisha Outerbridge, one of the organisers behind the recent Public Service Career Fair and Expo, has been awarded the June Public Service Excellence Award for her work.
A government spokeswoman said Ms Outerbridge, talent partner with the Department of Employee and Organisational Development, received multiple nominations for her contributions to the fair on June 18.
She praised Ms Outerbridge for her dedication, leadership and commitment to the event, which brought together government departments, job seekers, students and the public.
She added: “Alneisha demonstrated exceptional public service excellence throughout the project, providing consistent, high quality support despite compressed timelines and evolving demands.
“She researched the concept, developed an early proposal and helped shape a vision that would eventually become a major public-facing initiative, and once the project moved forward, Alneisha volunteered to assist in any capacity required.”
In addition to organising departmental representatives, scheduling meetings and supporting four committees, Ms Outerbridge helped to raise awareness of the event.
David Burt, the Premier, said: “Her initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities made a significant difference throughout the planning process and helped the Government deliver a high-quality experience for all who attended.”
Cherrie Whitter, the head of the public service, said Ms Outerbridge’s vision, initiative, attitude and collaborative spirit were critical to the fair’s success.
Ms Whitter added: “Alneisha understood the value of a public service-focused career fair long before it became a formal initiative.
“We are thankful for Alneisha's ability to consistently go above and beyond expectations make her most deserving of this recognition. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and grateful for her service.”
