Consulate offers to help US citizens
The United States Consulate General has called on American residents to step forward if they want to leave the island.
A consulate spokesman said: “The Government of Bermuda confirmed six cases of Covid-19 in Bermuda as of March 23.
“All US citizens currently in Bermuda who wish to return to the United States by commercial air service are asked to please inform the US Consulate of your potential interest.
“In the event that a commercial service becomes available, we will share that information with the general public.”
US citizens interested in leaving Bermuda are asked to contact the consulate at hamiltonconsulate@state.gov and provide your full name, date of birth and contact details.
The notice came after nations including Bermuda and the US restricted international travel to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
