Perfect cure for the hate

April 13, 2012Dear Sir,I can no longer stand by and allow a certain segment of our community to attempt to tarnish any further the reputation of the Progressive Labour Party Government and an individual I dedicate this letter to. Mr Editor, to whom should the term corruption be attached to? Should it be against the present government, or against the previous administration prior to 1998? The worst thing that can happen is when the teacher becomes wary when he/she thinks the student becomes better then he/she is. The student has been accused of everything under the criminal umbrella except for murder. This PLP government has two (count them) high ranking ex-police officers among their ranks, and to call this government corrupt is not only a false accusation against the government but also against these two highly respected and regarded gentlemen to say the least.Let’s have a revisit of history and let’s define what has and has not transpired in this Country. Some answered the call to service and others ignored the cries from their communities for leadership and joined the fray for personal gain. To those folks who seem hell bent on trying to discredit this government you need to take a little political look in the mirror every time you stand there and ask yourself “where was I when this was going on, and why I didn’t stand up and say something about it?”. While you’re standing there, ask yourself: ‘Why I am so concern now?’.It may seem that you may see looking at you a thought process that reconnects you to all the old sayings like “what goes around comes around” and “what’s good for the goose is good for the gender” and “the pot calling the kettle black”. Strong words yes, but very important to linking the past to the present. On a side note Mr Editor, I truly and honestly believe in freedom of speech, even things I don’t like as long as it is within the law, and I will defend the right for people to say it. Now, to all the bloggers out there who express their heartfelt vicious, nasty and displeasuring anger towards this PLP administration, I have the perfect cure for you: Another five year term in office would help you further along in your development in accepting the Progressive Labour Party as your government. This letter is dedicated to “The Great Defender” Ms LaVerne Furbert.BROWNLOW ADDERLEYSouthampton
