On the day after the February 4 by-election for Devonshire North Central, when the One Bermuda Alliance candidate lost the election, Michael Dunkley came on the evening news saying that the OBA is listening to the people.

A few minutes later on the same newscast came Michael Fahy with his Pathways to Status proposal. Mr Fahy further said, concerning his proposal, that he was making it easy for foreigners living on the island.

Mr Editor, this is a resounding confirmation of what we already know: that when the Premier and his party say that they are listening to the people, we know just who they are listening to — and the rest of us can go to you-know-where.
