Answers needed on antennae
Dear Sir,
Is the antennae that was damaged by lightning, thereby preventing any emergency broadcasts, the same antennae that has stopped the Bermuda Broadcasting Company from giving Bermudians “free and clear” TV?
Or are we given to understand that there were two lightning strikes on two separate antennae in the same month, which necessitated bringing in parts from overseas — the stock phrase when things don't work and take forever to get repaired in Bermuda?
So, it begs the question: when the antennae is repaired at the end of this month, according to the report on the ZBM Evening News this evening (August 8), will Bermuda Broadcasting once again start transmitting CBS and ABC “free and clear”?
Perhaps someone from the Bermuda Broadcasting Company would like to respond? We live in hope.
