Dear Sir,

Donald Trump’s only point was and is that everyone has a right to demonstrate, but not while the national anthem is being played and the flag flying.

The NFL players had no right to introduce another agenda of their own. It was all very worthy and correct, but their timing was disrespectful and wrong. The President is correct when he sets that example of loyalty and honour, and a wonderful example to the youth.

It should not need to be debated; it should just be an automatic response to the blessings of living in the country.
