Dear Sir,

Hundreds of people gathered for two special Holy Masses held at St Theresa’s Catholic Cathedral and St Michael’s Church on April 28 and May 5, respectively.

These events were organised by the Sri Lankan community living in Bermuda to pay tribute to the victims of the Easter Day terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan community in Bermuda would like to extend its thanks to John Rankin, the Governor of Bermuda, for addressing the congregation at the Roman Catholic church’s St Theresa’s Cathedral in Hamilton.

The community would also like to thank the Most Reverend Wieslaw Spiewak, Bishop of the Hamilton Diocese, and the Reverend Joe Morley, of the Roman Catholic Church of Bermuda, for their guidance and the opportunity to organise the two Holy Masses, and the Reverend Norman Lynas, of the Anglican Church of Bermuda.

We would also like to thank everyone who attended the Holy Masses for their prayers, expressions of love and words of encouragement in support of the people of Sri Lanka and those directly affected by the tragic attack on Easter Day.

It showed the world how much you, the good people of Bermuda, condemned such terrorist actions that have no place in Sri Lanka or anywhere else in the world.
