Four to be honoured for 'distinguished public service to the community’

The late politician and magistrate Arthur Hodgson will be honoured posthumously at a luncheon next weekend.

The event, hosted by the Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast Committee, will also celebrate the former Bermuda Industrial Union president and MP Ottiwell Simmons, a former leader of the One Bermuda Alliance, John Barritt, and the PLP stalwart Walter Roberts.

The men will be recognised for their “sustained distinguished public service to the community”.

The luncheon will be held at Willowbank Resort in Sandys on March 26 and will begin at 1.30pm.

Tickets are $70 and can be purchased at Caesar’s Pharmacy, 27th Century boutique and the Port Royal petrol station.
