404 containers to hit our shores this week

Kijaun Wilkinson was selected to receive the inaugural Stevedoring Services Limited Scholarship. The 20-year-old Bermudian, who is entering his third year at Temple Universityís Fox School of Business in Philadelphia, has a goal of achieving a Business Management Degree specializing in Risk Management with a minor in Management Information Systems, said he was “very gratefull” to receive the award. The scholarship is designed to assist the children of employees of Stevedoring Services Limited further their education either in Bermuda or abroad. The scholarship which funds up to $10,000 per year is awarded annually by the Scholarship Committee either in whole or in parts, to either single or multiple persons according to the number of applicants and their needs. The Scholarship is intended to assist those with financial needs to cover tuition, room and board, and travel expenses.
The Oleander arrived on Bermuda's shores on Sunday carrying 126 dry containers and 45 refrigerated containers.
She also had on board three vehicles and one trailer.
The vessel left the Island Monday morning.
Somers Isles arrived this morning from Fernandina Beach, Florida.
The ship carried 110 containers including five reefers, a 52ft sailboat mast and three fuel tanks. The vessel returns to Fernandina Beach on Friday.
The Bermuda Islander will arrive tomorrow from Salem, New Jersey with 123 containers and return Friday morning.
