The Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd., the parent company of The Royal Gazette, has announced that S. Arthur Morris has retired as a director of the company and has been replaced by Dudley R. Cottingham.

C Holdings Ltd., the parent company of C Travel, has appointed John Cowan as chief operating officer.

Mr. Cowan was previously employed at Logic Communications where he worked with C Travel to "become the technological leader in the market," said C Travel chief executive officer Carl Paiva. "Introducing a member to senior management who comes with his kind of background will be crucial as we continue to diversify the interest of C Holdings."

Mr. Cowan said: "Part of my mandate with C Holdings is to help take out core business to the next step. Between operational innovation, risk mitigation and creative development strategies, we will lead the way into the new travel industry that is already taking shape globally."

PartnerRe Ltd. has announced that Vito H. Baumgartner has been appointed to its board of directors.

Mr. Baumgartner, 63, is a group president and executive office member of Caterpillar Inc. a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines.

Bermuda-based Forexster Ltd., a new generation "network-dealing" venue for trading foreign exchange, has named Peter Bartko as chief executive and a director of the company.

Mr. Bartko has spent the past 20 years bringing innovative, successful solutions to the global foreign exchange community.

Mr. Bartko replaces founder Arman Glodjo, who will remain involved as chairman. Mr. Glodjo conceptualised the model underlying Forexster's architecture and led the team that developed Forexster.

Mr. Bartko was the driving force behind the founding of The EBS Partnership in 1990 by a consortium of 12 top foreign exchange banks and a Japanese brokerage. In just five years under Mr. Bartko's leadership, EBS grew from its launch in 1993 to become the largest broker of spot foreign exchange in the world. Mr. Bartko retired from The EBS Partnership in December 2001, after 11 years as chairman and CEO.
