ACTUARIES TO FLY IN FOR TILLINGHAST ANNIVERSARY BUC Actuaries to fly in for Tillinghast anniversary Actuaries from all over the world will be flying in for the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Bermuda branch of Tillinghast.

Around 60 people will be attending the party at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club on Friday evening for actuarial consulting firm, now called Tillinghast-Towers Perrin, which services the insurance industry.

Local President Ted Dew said: "A number of people on the island have worked for us or worked with us.

"All former presidents are due to attend.'' Greg Leonard who set up the local branch will make the trip from Connecticut, John Burville who is now chief actuary at Ace Ltd is expected, as is Doug Collins who is still at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin.

Mr. Dew added: "Out of 40 actuaries on the island, 21 have worked for us.

People have come from London and the States to join.'' The Bermuda branch, which is part of the established network of Tillinghast-Towers Perrin, started up in the BTC building in 1980.

The Tillinghast group was bought by Towers Perrin in 1986 and the Bermuda branch moved into its current offices in Reid Street next to Rock Island Coffee last year.

Mr. Dew said: "It's a get together of clients and former and current employees. We're the premier actuary consulting firm in the world.

"Worldwide we have just short of 200 qualified actuary consultants - few firms boast a similar number.

"It's a super place to work. We are looking forward to this event as an opportunity to celebrate the relationships we have built over the past 20 years in Bermuda.''
