Docks row affects Oleander
continuing dock dispute.
The Oleander arrived a day behind schedule on Monday after leaving late last week.
She brought in 138 dry and 31 refrigerated containers, seven road trailers of reinforced steel, building materials, and refrigerating units, 31 cars and one cement mixer before leaving yesterday.
Also arriving on Monday was the Somers Isles with 98 dry and eight refrigerated containers.
She also brought in a garbage truck, three Snipe sail boats, an office trailer, three boats, a decompression chamber and modular room, two swimming pools, and numerous bundles of lumber and steel.
Tomorrow the Bermuda Islander will bring in 89 dry and 15 refrigerated containers, and five horses.
And the cruise season continues with the Norwegian Crown expected today for Bermuda's second cruise visit this year with 1,051 passengers.
She will berth in Hamilton today and move to St. George's tomorrow.
And in the west end, the Cable and Wireless ship Sir Eric Sharp returns to Dockyard today to serve station duty.
Meanwhile, the captain of the bulk carrier Doric Shield , who suffered a stroke on Easter Sunday, was airlifted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore yesterday.
Other recent visitors to local waters include a brief layover by the general cargo vessel Semele on Easter Sunday to pick up lube oil.
And the cement carrier Frida arrived the next day with approximately 7,000 tonnes of bulk cement for the Bermuda Cement Company.
Later this week the Shell oil tanker Tambov and propane gas tanker Coral Acropora are expected.
DOCKS DEADLOCK -- Only the Oleander has been affected by the recent docks dispute.
