Some vessels in Tall Ships 2000 remain in Bermuda
In shipping news this week, all the class A Tall Ships left without incident, but several of the smaller class C Tall Ships have elected to stay in Bermuda for a few more days, with a couple remaining in Hamilton, but most staying at St. George's.
The Zenith arrived on Monday morning carrying 1439 passengers but anchored at Grassy Bay to allow the Tall Ships to leave.
She then berthed at Number One dock and is due to move to St. George's this morning, and sail at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday.
The Horizon arrived on Monday morning at St. George's carrying 1469 passengers and shifted to Hamilton yesterday from where she will leave at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday.
The Norwegian Majesty arrived yesterday and will sail at 1.00 p.m. on Friday.
The Pacific Princess left St. George's yesterday after bringing 644 passengers to the island.
The Nordic Empress arrived in Dockyard yesterday at 11.00 a.m.
The Crown Dynasty left on Monday, and will arrive back on Friday to spend the weekend in Dockyard, leaving on Monday.
The Somers Isle arrived yesterday morning from Florida and will leave tomorrow afternoon at 4.00 p.m.
She was carrying 122 containers of which six were refrigerated, seven pleasure boats a truck and 57 bundles of building materials.
Arriving tomorrow from New Jersey is the Bermuda Islander which sails on Friday.
She is carrying 135 containers of which 23 are refrigerated, as well as a 40 foot container and a 45 foot trailer.
The Oleander arrived on Sunday carrying 151 dry containers, 42 refrigerated containers, two masseys, four flatbeds, ten cars and one truck, and sailed yesterday.
