BEPRO to host upcoming ‘Lunch ‘N Learn’ on right in the workplace

Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals (BEPRO) will hold its first ‘Lunch ‘N Learn’ of the year next Tuesday.

The event, titled “Your Rights in the Workplace — Tips From the Pros” will feature a well-rounded selection of expert guest speakers from Amnesty International Bermuda, the Human Rights Commission, the Department of Labour & Training, and Trott & Duncan to help educate attendees about their basic rights in the workplace.

“We (BEPRO) deem this particular Lunch ‘N Learn to be one of great importance for all professionals, regardless of field/industry, as we are all doing our best to cope with the current struggles of our local economy and organisational changes,” BEPRO said in a statement.

“With so many unknowns in the workplace right now, the one thing we should all seek to learn more about is our rights. BEPRO encourages its members, and non-members alike, to come out and hear what the experts have to say while also taking advantage of the opportunity to obtain answers to their questions.”

The event will be held next Tuesday, April 23 at the Chamber of Commerce from 12-1pm and a light lunch will be provided.

For more information or to RSVP for the event, contact Velina Wheatley at vwheatley@bcc.com or call 295-8932.
