An impressed Wayne Furbert said this week he had visited last weekend's car show and had marvelled at some of the work contestants had done on their cars.

He said he now wanted to get some feedback on what the public thought about allowing people to be more creative when it came to decorating the outside of their cars.

Mr. Furbert said perhaps people should be allowed to express their creative talents on their cars, if they chose, rather than making them angry at society by denying them the right. Presently only three colours were allowed to be displayed on a car but Mr. Furbert said he would be reviewing this policy after seeing the "extraordinary'' art work people had done.

He said he would be consulting with the Transport Control Department, Police and Road Safety Council about the situation.

And Robert Rogers Jr. -- whose Mazda 323 featuring mountain ranges and dragons scooped up eight awards at the show -- said he and many others would be behind the Minister if he chose to make the change.

He added that they would definitely agree with any decision Mr. Furbert reached as "anything we could get would be a big step''.
