Charity worker denies stealing
A former charity worker was arrested for stealing money from the organisation when she returned to the Island on holiday.
Paulette Lundy, 51, was charged with stealing $3,457.52 from the her former employer, the Diversity Institute of Bermuda, between June, 2001 and May, 2003.
She left the Island in June, 2003, but returned to the Island in August this year to visit family. During her vacation, she was arrested and appeared before Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner yesterday morning.
She pleaded not guilty.
Her lawyer, Elizabeth Christopher, said Lundy had been on the Island since August this year visiting her son and grandchildren.
Lundy lived on the Island for 33 years before moving to Nevada.
Lundy, who has been staying at Two Way Lane, Pembroke, was released on bail, ordered to check in with the Police three times a week and will appear before Magistrates' Court on November 22.
