Police are seeking two people, the woman and another man, for questioning after the victim reported he took the woman to a Mount Road, St. David's home.

He told Police he was at the home with the woman for about 20 minutes and it was there his wallet containing cash was taken from his pocket.

But without realising the money was stolen, the man drove the woman and another man to another location before returning to his home. It was there he discovered his empty wallet. The victim retraced his steps but the two people could not be located.

The couple were walking on the beach when a passerby saw three men run onto the beach and remove their beach bag. The passerby alerted the couple, who returned quickly to discover their Lancaster canvas bag containing a Motorola cellphone and other personal items missing.

MAN STOLE SCHOOL'S WEE EATER CRM Man stole school's weed eater A 50-year-old Pembroke man is expected to make an appearance this morning before a Magistrate on theft charges after he was caught red-handed by a Saltus Senior School staffer. The staffer notified Police after seeing the man running away from the St. John's Road school with the school's weed eater and leaf blower.

The man was later arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station.

Another thief got away with a rucksack containing personal items from a Cavendish Road home between 10.30 and 10.50 p.m. on Saturday while the female occupant was asleep. A sleeping North Shore Road, Devonshire man fell victim to an opportunist thief who got a quantity of cash when the resident left a sliding glass door unsecured on Saturday.

Cycle crime officers have issued a reminder to people to ensure their bikes are secured properly after a wave of thefts over the weekend. Several cycles were reported stolen. Police suggest the use of Kryptonite locks or the U-Marking of cycles. An additional deterrent is the installation of an anti-theft microchip which Police acts as a deterrent.

COUNTERFEIT MONEY REPORTED CRM Counterfeit money reported Retail stores and restaurants are being warned to keep a lookout for counterfeit local and US money. Police have noted a recent spate of funny money being circulated, particularly in Hamilton. The denominations have included $50 and $100 notes.

DRUNK DRIVER ROLLED DOWN A SLOPE CTS Drunk driver rolled down a slope A St. George's man whose van rolled down an embankment, hitting another vehicle, aditted to officers he was drunk and had just smoked some "weed''.

Magistrate Archibald Warner heard that William Michael Brooks was arrested after Police were called to the accident, on Smith's Hill Road, St. George's on August 11.

Veronica Daley, prosecuting, said Brooks had lost control of his vehicle, which had gone down a slope and hit a parked car.

After his arrest, Brooks told officers he had been to St. David's Cricket Club and said "I am drunk as.., just smoked some weed, I am guilty''.

Brooks initially denied driving whilst impaired but told Mr. Warner he wanted to change his plea on hearing the evidence. But he was told it was irrelevant since the Crown offered no evidence on the charge and accepted a guilty plea on a charge of refusing to give a breath test.

Brooks, of Cocoa Lane, was fined $600 and disqualified from all vehicles for 12 months.

CANNABIS FOUND IN TOURIST'S LUGGAGE CTS Cannabis found in tourist's luggage A US tourist was ordered to pay a $600 fine after being caught with cannabis in his luggage. Nat Coraci, 30, of Glendale, New York, admitted possession of 2.98 grams of cannabis, which was discovered in plastic bags during a search at Bermuda International Airport.

The discovery was made after Coraci arrived on an American Airlines flight from New York on September 8.

Coraci, a construction worker, said the drugs were for his own personal use and apologised for his actions. He was staying at Grotto Bay with his girlfriend.

The fine was ordered to be paid immediately.

FIGHT LANDS SCHOOL GIRLS IN COURT CTS Fight lands school girls in court Bad feeling between two teenagers led to violence at CedarBridge Academy, a court heard.

Nicole Taylor, 17, admitted unlawfully assaulting Tenee Richards, also 17, after an altercation at the school on June 11.

Veronica Daley, prosecuting, said Taylor had been involved in a disturbance with the complainant four days earlier and trouble boiled over again.

She said Taylor pushed the other girl and a fight ensued, resulting in medical treatment for the complainant.

Mrs. Daley said Taylor, of Horseshoe Road, Southampton, was cooperative with Police. In court, Taylor had nothing to say.

Magistrate Archibald Warner bound her over to keep the peace for 12 months.
