At present the boards have not been published and civil servants are working on the final details of the committees.

A Government spokesman said he expected the boards to be released in the next few days.

There is no indication of any major changes on any of the boards, many of which saw wholesale movements following the 1998 PLP election win.

The popular "A Window on the Azores'' exhibition at the Bermuda National Gallery has been featured in the O Jornal, a weekly paper reaching 76,000 Portugese-Americans.

And the show could be travelling to New England, after the Mayor of New Bedford said he wanted to bring the entire exhibition to the area.

Many New Bedford residents have relations in Bermuda and the area continues to be an emigration destination for Acoreans.

The show in Bermuda runs until February 17.

MAN WAS OVER THE LIMIT CTS Man was over the limit Found with more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, 49-year-old Mark Knudsen readily admitted that he was driving while impaired.

Knudsen, of North Shore Hamilton Parish, admitted to the offence in Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Knudsen received a three-month prison sentence suspended for two years on top of a $600 fine and a ban from driving all motor vehicles for a year.

Crown counsel Veronica Daley told that court that on December 22 last year, uniformed Police officers were called to an accident opposite the Aquarium.

She noted that when they arrived at 11.30 p.m., they found Knudsen on the ground with cuts and abrasions on his face. A black scooter was also lying on the road.

She told the court that he was taken to the Police station where he agreed to take the alco-analyser test, the lowest reading was 180 milligrams in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

CRASH DRIVER BANNED AC Crash driver banned A St. George's man who admitted driving with twice the legal alcohol limit on Christmas Eve was fined $450 and banned from driving for a year on Friday.

Weldon Bryant Dowling, of Wellington Back Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to impaired driving.

Crown counsel Veronica Daley told the court that Police found Dowling's car on the eastbound side of Harbour Road, Paget where he crashed into the Newstead Hotel wall.

Dowling told Police he had had two Amstel Lights but a breathalyser test showed an alcohol level of 194 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal level is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

A cheeky customer had a free hair treatment at Strands hairdressers on Reid Street on Friday morning. She said she had forgotten her cash and would return with it later but never did.
