The history of Bermuda is being told in a less-than-conventional display in a Long Island, New York library.
In honour of the Island's 400th anniversary, the Commack Public Library in Huntington, New York will be displaying 30 pieces of china and plates representing Bermuda's history.
The collection, including plates issued for Bermuda's 300th and 350th anniversary, feature Front Street, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, a hog penny, and both of Bermuda's coats of arms. The current coat of arms featuring a sinking Sea Venture was adopted in 1910, replacing the less popular original which featured three sailing ships.
The plates and china will be on display for the month of July.
