Tafari Smith, of St. Monica's Road, was arrested on Saturday, September 19.
Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Michael McColm told Magistrates' Court yesterday Police were driving when they observed Smith walking along the road with a rusty machete, yelling at another individual.
He said that Smith, who appeared before Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner with bandages on his arm, told the second man: "I know how it feels to get chopped up, now it's your turn."
