Court appearance expected for driver

A St George’s man has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
According to police, the 35-year-old was driving an auxiliary cycle erratically along Crow Lane near Spurling Hill, Pembroke at around 1.30am.
A mobile patrol pulled the motorist over and, noticing that he appeared intoxicated, officers immediately arrested him. A court appearance is expected in due course.
Police made a further eight arrests on suspicion of impaired driving through the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme at the weekend.
Officers also arrested 12 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the Island.
