Anti alcohol abuse charity CADA handed out life skills certificates to 81 Somersfield Academy and Bermuda High School students this week for completing its Life Skills Programme.

Life Skills is a youth development programme designed to “cultivate capable and healthy young people of strong character through life skills, character education and drug and alcohol prevention”.

CADA executive director Anthony Santucci said: “Life Skills training is a research-validated substance abuse prevention programme, proven to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors that promote the initiation of substance use and other risky behaviours.

“This comprehensive and exciting programme provides adolescents and young teens with the confidence and skills necessary to successfully handle challenging situations.”
