End-to-End delayed until October
The Axa End-to-End event has been pushed back to the autumn because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Anne Mello, the E2E chairwoman, said the annual event would be moved from May 2 to October 31.
Ms Mello added: “We thought long and hard about this.
“We wondered whether we should even cancel the event, but we realised that probably now more than ever, the charities we support would need financial help.”
Ms Mello said: “We are facing challenging times and I would urge everyone to abide by government guidelines, practise social-distancing and follow the self-quarantine rules. Working together we will get through this.”
The event will this year raise funds for the Bermuda Zoological Society, Vision Bermuda, The Garden Club of Bermuda and Family Centre.
Ms Mello said: “We have shared our decision with our sponsors, Axa XL, Butterfield Bank and Deloitte and they are fully supportive.”
