Andrew Trott maintained his fine form recently in a tight finish as play continued in the Bermuda Junior Golf Association.

He fired a five-over-par 59 at the Southampton Princess -- just enough to edge out Chris Smith for second place on retrogression and Aaron James, both of whom equaled his score.

In Group Four Mark Robinson's 63 was good enough to top the section, one shot ahead of Chris Brough.

Group Three action saw three youngsters fire 68 to vie for top spot, although Anthony Smith's score was good enough to edge out Paul Murphy on retrogression.

In Group Two, Kwami Caisey had a 47 over nine holes, finishing one shot ahead of Daisha Haxton.

Group One play saw Jarryd Dillas take top spot with a 48 over nine holes, beating out Timothy Burland on retrogression.

Tournament action continues this week at St. George's.

MOTOCROSS SCR The motocross season finally got underway last Sunday after numerous track building delays.

Several new jumps and whoops have been installed, providing a challenge for the riders during the opening Memorial Race Day.

Brandon DeSilva captured Pee Wee 50 honours, notching three wins, while defending Pee Wee 60 champion Steven Panchaud emerged with three wins to stretch his winning streak to 57 races.

Also taking three straight was Sean DeSilva in the 80cc class, Ricardo Nottingham in the 250 class and Neilson DeGraffe in the 125 C category. The 125B class saw Duprey Joell win two of three outings, while Kemo Simons grabbed the other.

TABLE TENNIS PP Canadian coach Frank Ternier is back on the Island to assist in the Bermuda Table Tennis Association's development programme.

The Montreal native will conduct the first in a series of clinics tomorrow at Elliott School gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for adults and from 1 p.m. to 4p.m. for youths.

Clinics have also been scheduled for adults at the BPSA on Wednesday at 7.30.

Ternier will train with the national squad at Elliott School on November 23 -- prior to the start of the Bermuda Open Youth Championships at the same venue.

The championships will feature competition for both boys and girls from the age groups of 9-11, 12-14 and 15-19.
