of US television viewers were given frequent views of local scenery and popular attractions around the Island.

Many of the well-known golfers participating in the Shoot-out -- which took place in September -- agreed, during the two-hour show, that the Mid Ocean golf course was "the best they had ever played on and they would love to play on that type of green every day''.

Another golfer described it as the most unique golf course he had ever played on and said anyone who has not played on such a course should try it.

TV viewers were also given glimpses of local attractions such as the first Mid Ocean clubhouse which was built in the 1920s, and Sir George Somers' grave in Somers Garden St. George's.

Commentator Mr. Jack Whittaker also showed the Sessions House, shops in both Hamilton and St. George's and a few Bermuda homes.

Mr. Whittaker commented: "The stone roofs on Bermuda houses gives the Island a clean white look.'' He added that the Island had an old style architecture used on both homes and buildings.
