he overcame number one seed and good friend Michael Way in a three-set semi-final last night.

It was sweet revenge for Frigerio, who was Way's semi-final victim in the recent Heineken Open, and it sets him up for a crack at the title against 21-year-old James Collieson, who came back from a set behind to beat host club Pomander Gate's pro Dean Mello.

Frigerio, seeded three, ran out a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 winner over Way while number two seed Collieson triumphed 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Meanwhile Laverne Stowe will appear in a trio of finals in the ladies singles, ladies doubles and mixed doubles. In two of the contests she will be pitched against Elizabeth Osborne.

Osborne, the top seed and only 1998 Federation Cup player in the tournament, will be her opponent in the singles while Stowe joins Barbara Lambert to take on Osborne and Alisa Campbell for the ladies doubles crown.

In the mixed, partnered by Eldon Daniels, she will take on Wendy Gelhay and Colie Place.

Ladies B, meanwhile, throws up a family affair with Valda Peniston-Charles, in her first tournament of the year, facing niece and top seed Shonette Wilson, the winner of the recent Heineken Open.

The mixed doubles and B finals will be played this evening, with the main ladies, men's and doubles deciders to come tomorrow starting at 10.00 a.m.
