On Saturday, Gibbons hit 101 from 14 fours and two sixes as Epping Cricket Club were dismissed for 230 with Gibbons taking four for 61 from 17 overs. The Bermuda all-rounder then hit a century to lead Buckhurst to 233-7 in reply.

The next day the 39-year-old Gibbons scored 114 but in a losing cause after his team scored 241-8 declared and then watched as Botany replied with 242-4 to win by six wickets. Gibbons took three for 89 from 25 overs with seven maidens.

Gibbons was also involved in matches with Buckhurst on both days of Cup Match.

On Thursday Buckhurst scored 250-6 in a 50 overs match with Gibbons scoring 35 not out against Police who replied with 261-1 to win by nine wickets.

Police had two players who played for Hong Kong at the ICC Trophy last year in Kenya, one of them being Steve Aitken who took a few wickets in the match against Bermuda.

On Friday in a game involving club players from Buckhurst against a President's XI team made up of former players, Gibbons scored 71 not out to lead the league team to 218 all out. He did not bowl as the President's team was dismissed for 189.

"I'm really pleased with the way I'm batting here,'' said Gibbons. "The standard of the league is a little higher than our Premier League back home.'' Gibbons will be back next week for Bailey's Bay's second defence of the Eastern Counties against Cleveland and has also been invited to play in the testimonial match for Clarence Parfitt in September.
