Griffin, who carried a seven-stroke lead into the final day, wound up a 10-stroke winner from fellow American Julie Rivers.

Griffin was nine-over 222 for the tournament, which met with near disaster at the outset when only 13 golfers signed up to play in what was supposed to be a match play event.

Bermuda's Judithanne Astwood was third on 233 after yesterday's 78 while Madeline Joell was fourth on 240 and German Heidi Winkelvoss fifth on 242.

The net division was won by Winkelvoss with a three-round total of 212.

Astwood was second on 218 with Griffin and Valerie Nearon joint third on 222.
