She is tied with 11 other players in 42nd place in the annual event which attracts the top college players in the US.

Her Wake Forest team, which includes Alexandra Armas, Victoria Boysen and Laura Philo, are tied for second place with San Jose State, nine shots behind leaders, Arizona State.

Marshall, Bermuda's defending Amateur Strokeplay champion, has a 36-hole total of 153, leaving her 15 shots behind Vibeke Stensrud of San Jose who has had back to back rounds of 69.

The third round will be played today and the final round tomorrow.
