Belmont ended the season in sixth place with 23 points on 1,929 strokes and Ocean View II were in the cellar with 19 points on 1,928 strokes.

In the B League, BJGA finished the season in first place with 39 points on 1,185 strokes and because of that feat they will be promoted to the A Division next year. Belmont wrapped up the year in second place with 34 points on 1,123 strokes. Third-place finishers were Ocean View III with 31 points on 1,243 points. Port Royal III were in fourth spot with 28 points on 1,235 strokes followed by BGA Ladies in fifth place with 25 points on 1,247 strokes. Castle Harbour were in last place with 23 points on 1,239 strokes.

Judithanne Outerbridge topped the B League's honour roll.

Prizes will be presented to the winning teams and best players in each league at Port Royal GC on July 24 immediately following the Amstel One Day Tournament.

DUATHLON DUA Runners and swimmers will be stretched to the limit next month in honour of the late lifeguard Huw Morris.

The August 1 Huw Morris Memorial Challenge Duathlon is being sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Parks.

Proceeds will be donated to the Summerhaven Trust.

The event at Horseshoe Bay is open to residents and visitors aged 14 and over.

Starting at 8 a.m., it features two one-and-a-quarter-mile runs, interspersed by a half-mile swim.

Entry forms are available at various athletic and sports clubs, as well as the Department of Agriculture. There is a $5 fee.

SOCCER SOC Somerset's under-17 side reached the knockout stage of the US Cup in Minnesota on Wednesday after a 1-0 win over Corpus Christi.

Dandy Town will host a training session for all senior soccer players at the club on Sunday commencing at 9.30 a.m. Players are reminded to bring a white shirt.
