Red Devil Kevin's back with a bang
to make his mark.
Jennings had not been part of the Red Devils squad for the past couple of games but came back into the reckoning with a bang in the 2-0 win over PHC.
He left the game with a nasty gash above the eye but returned to score one and have a hand in the other.
"It was time to step up and give my team what they need. Today was the day,'' he said. "We started off really well, we ended up with the three points and we are top of the table now and feeling good.'' Asked whether the crack on the head had affected his game, he said: "It made me want to play even more. It really did.'' Coach, Scott Morton, was full of praise.
"Kevin was outstanding. He has been out of the team for the last two games, so his return was really helpful to us today,'' he said. "That's the Kevin we see every day in training. That's what I tell him he must bring to the team on every Sunday at every match.'' Reflecting on the match overall, Morton said: "We came out with a gameplan which was to put the pressure on PHC to make them play and take them out of their rhythm and then take the chances that we create from that.'' The Red Devils certainly created chances early on, but for a time it looked like it might be one of those days when they did everything but score.

"When I saw what PHC did when they dispossessed us I wasn't too concerned because they were not threatening,'' he said.
The goals came and at long last so did the team performance.
"In the past I have been very critical of my players and it has been deserved. But today I give them all the credit in the world,'' Morton said.
On the condition of David Thomas, who was taken to hospital after a collision, Morton said: "He might have broken ribs so they are taking all precautions at this time. They are not taking anything for granted.
"He said he was having a few problems breathing so we decided to call in the ambulance and get him checked out professionally.''
