The annual Fidelity Couples road race, postponed back in July to make way for the International Triathlon, has been rescheduled for next Sunday (November
Starting and finishing at the Fidelity building on East Broadway, the men will run approximately five miles and the women five kilometres.
As usual a number of top male and female runners have been seeded, and no two seeds can run as a team unless entered in the family of married category.
The seeds this year are: Men: Mike Watson, Tracy Wright, Gary Kelson, Errol Cormack, Simon Moore, Harry Patchett, Andrew Doble, Kevin Tucker, Neil Halliday, Larry Richardson, Neil de Ste. JUNIOR GOLF GLF Bermuda's young golfers had to battle rain squalls and high winds as the BJGA series of tournaments continued at Port Royal and Ocean View last weekend.
Group five action saw Andrew Trott fire a five-over-par 76 to lead the way, followed by Chris Smith on 78 and Justin Barritt and BJ Payne on 79, Barritt taking third on retrogression.
Neil Fenton easily headed group four with a 79, eight shots better than Colin Brown who edged out Jennifer Spurling for second place on retrogression.
In group three, Aaron Burrows carded a steady 42 over nine holes, ahead of RV Pachai (47) and Anthony Smith (48).
In group two at Ocean View, Kwami Caisey returned a score of 43 over nine holes to finish three shots up on Jason Correia who nipped David Smith on retrogression.
Ted Terceira's 41 topped group one, four shots better than second placed Jonathan Hayes with William Tucker a further stroke back on 46.
Among the novices, who played at Belmont, Laura Robinson led the way with 33 over six holes, one ahead of Jermaine Simmons. Justin Simons and Ricardo Dill tied for third on 35.
In the novice B programme at the Southampton Princess, Daniel Augustus shot 39 over nine holes, with Derek Anderson one behind on 40 followed by Daniel Ezekiel on 42.
