Recent accident victim Jermel Belboda of Devonshire Colts has been released from the squad as has Somerset trio John Best, Steven Burrows and Jermaine Burrows. Best is just 16 and was not a serious contender for a place in the squad while Steven Burrows did not respond to the invitation to be in the squad and Jermaine Burrows is over-age.

The Bermuda Football Association is still awaiting confirmation on the availability of some college players, with Quincy Aberdeen having been cleared by both his parents and school to participate and Stanton Lewis not available because of exams at his college.

Coach Mark Trott stressed that the BFA had no intention of interferring with any players' schooling. "It's unfortunate but he (Lewis) will still be one we will consider if we make it to the Pan Am Games.'' Trott is still awaiting confirmation on two other players, Kimande Binns and Janeiro Tucker.

Meanwhile, BFA general secretary David Sabir has travelled to Jamaica to finalise travel arrangement for the team, scheduled to meet Canada in two qualifying matches on December 2 and 4 and then, if successful, will play the winners of Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago who will be a part of two double-headers at the National Stadium in Kingston.
