Second and third placed Vasco I and Hamilton Parish I both suffered their second losses of the season to lose ground.
Vasco I went down to Swinging Doors II, losing the tie-break after the game was tied at 193 each. The Robin Hood I-Hamilton Parish I game was also close with Hood squeezing out a 187-185 victory.
Vasco II got the better of Vasco III 199-176, War Vets easily defeated Robin Hood II 218-161 and Sandys Boat Club stopped Docksiders 205-168.
Three players achieved perfect scores of 50, newcomer Dennis Levers of Sandys Boat Club, Wayne Adams of Vasco II and Terrence Parsons of Swinging Doors I.
TABLE TENNIS PP Nick Frost, winner of last year's singles and, with Monique Ternier, the doubles is expected to defend those titles when the Bermuda Table Tennis Association stage their closed championships this Saturday.
The tournament will be held at Elliott Primary School, starting at 11.00 a.m.

JUNIOR GOLF GLF Michael Sims and Quinton Sherlock both fired scores of 67 over 15 holes to share Group IV honours at Port Royal during Bermuda Junior Golf Association play on Saturday. They beat out Robert Spurling by two shots.
In Group III, Jeremy Drover carded 74 over 15 holes to win by three shots over Chris Tully. Shaun Wade came in third with 80.
Group II finished in a three-way tie as Fraser Hunt, Charles Markey and Chris Smith all finished on 64 after 13 holes.
And there was also a three-way tie among the novices who played over nine holes at Southampton Princess. Sean Outerbridge, David Smith and Sean Dunkley all returned cards of 39 with Outerbridge winning on retrogression.
SAILING SLG Bermuda Yachting Association will reveal details tomorrow of the International Yacht Racing Union World Youth Sailing Championships which will take place in Bermuda in July.
Information about the championships will be released at a press conference tomorrow morning. The World Youth Sailing Championships is an annual event which the IYRU considers to be second in importance only to the Olympics.
