Glusing, who will be one of seven locals taking part in the ITU Triathlon World Cup Bermuda next month, completed the combination 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile run in 10 hours, 34 minutes, three seconds while placing 245th in a field of 1,500.
His time also qualified him for the world-renowned Hawaii Ironman event.
Second among the Bermuda entries and 705th overall was Brian Peck (12:04:47) followed by Bermuda Triathlon Association president Mark Edmunds (12:10:25, 728th) and Robyn Tucker (13:31:27, 1,019th).
SWIMMING SW Local swimmers will travel to Barbados for the third Latin America and Caribbean Masters Swimming Championships starting on Tuesday.
A team of 16 swimmers will participate in the event held in the Barbados Aquatic Centre. The meet will be open to any master swimmer 25 years of age or older. There is also a sub-masters meet for anyone aged 20 to 24. Besides various events there will also be a three kilometre ocean swim to begin the competition.
The Bermuda contingent will include Claire Mancell, Caroline Mitchell, Steve Baker, Annette Budge, Kris Cash (coach), Helen Hall, Jamie Jared, Sam Donaldson, Paul Oliver, Sarah Manuel, Mike Parrish, Guy Kelly, Jim McNichols, Duncan Newby (coach) and Chris Smith.
SOCCER SOC Paget football club will hold a meeting for all players interested in representing the club at Paget Primary School this evening starting at 7 p.m.
Social Club will hold a training session and meeting for all players next Tuesday starting at 6 p.m.
