It's hi ho silver for equestrienne Terceira
as she captured a silver medal while competing at the World University Equestrian Championships in Ankum, Germany.
A student at the Florida College of Fine Arts, Terceira painted a rosy picture for the judges with a near flawless display in the show-jumping category.
Terceira was competing against 60 riders from 20 countries, all college or university students as the event name suggests.
"I think it is a tremendous accomplishment as it was against the best riders from these countries,'' said Mike Cherry of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation.
The championships were actually a team competition held over four days from December 8-11 and also involved dressage. Prizes were awarded to the top individual finishers.
Bermuda placed 14th out of the 20 countries on the team side, as Terceira was joined by Sarah Haycock, and Karron Smith, while Melissa Pereech acted as the stand-by rider.
