Commercial League KO Cup soccer final.

The two winners from Saturday's semi-finals learned yesterday that their championship game, originally scheduled for Saturday at Bernard Park, has been pushed back to Sunday at National Stadium.

Fire Service, a 5-2 winner over Mariners, and Somerset, who edged BAA Wanderers 2-1, will now meet at 12 noon in a prelude to the Friendship (2.00 p.m.) and Shield (4.00 p.m.) finals.

Troy Furbert fired a hat trick to lead Fire Service, who took advantage of a key injury suffered bu Mariners. Goalkeeper Dennis Rodrigues suffered a broken leg in a 25th-minute collison, forcing the team to go with seldom-used backup Joe Pimental.

Rodrigues had given up only a ninth-minute strike by Steven Caines before the floodgates opened. Furbert scored in the 30th and 35th minute for a 3-0 half-time lead and Alan Wilkinson made it 4-0 before Craig Dixon got one back for Mariners.

Furbert completed his hat trick in the 77th minute and BAA's Frank Massaflour rounded out the scoring seven minutes later.

The high-flying X-tros reached the 100-goal plateau for their season when they beat Wanderers.

BAA managed to keep Steven Riley (37 goals this season) and Everett Wellman (29) off the scoresheet but couldn't stop Craig Brangman, whose 60th minute marker was the winner.

Brangman gave his team a 2-0 lead after Dwayne Richardson had fired a first-half strike. Wanderers' Thomas Gribbin made things interesting with a late goal.
